Ragged School Chapel Sing Along

MFAA members have been collaborating with Two Gates Ragged School Chapel, Cradley to produce a Sing Along evening of entertainment.

The group were asked by Barry Willetts, Chapel Superintendent, for help in producing a 2 hour slide show presentation of songs that were during the war eras from 1914 to 1946, which the audience could sing along to.

The event is planned for the evening of Wednesday, 17th June 2015 at Two Gates Ragged School, one of the only 2 remaining Ragged Schools country-wide. The audio-visual presentation includes other sounds and images of the era.

As an additional treat local choir mistress Anna-Christina Pridden will be performing a war song written by John Monro with lyrics by Eric Bogle.

Midland Film and Art

Midland Film and Art is a membership club where people can enjoy screenings of films or view artwork and crafts that would otherwise not be shown in mainstream cinemas or exhibitions, or be available locally. These shows usually have an educational aim, introducing new audiences to different audiovisual works through screening and display, encouraging participation in arts and crafts. A common feature that may characterize a Midland Film and Art meeting is that they either begin with an introduction to the audience and/or end with the promotion of a discussion about the film/art, where assistants, organizers and sometimes the filmmakers/artists themselves, exchange their views.
