ARTHOUSE JERSEY announces portraits award judging panel

MFAA group secretary and resident artist Martyn Harris (RBSA) to judge inaugural ArtHouse Jersey Portrait Award.
Martyn from The Art Yard is among the 5 leading artists chosen to form the judging panel for the 1st Portrait Award in Jersey's capital, Saint Helier.
We’re excited to share the news that five leading artists working across painting, sculpture and photography have been selected as judges for the inaugural ArtHouse Jersey Portrait Award. The judging panel will include Iness Rychlik, Wilfrid Wood, Martyn Harris, Jason Butler and Olympia McEwan, alongside the exhibition Curator Natasha Dettman (ArtHouse Jersey Associate Producer) and James Tyson (ArtHouse Jersey Head of Programme).
The portrait award forms part of an exhibition of contemporary portraiture at ArtHouse Jersey’s Capital House exhibition space, running from January to April 2027, showcasing local and international portrait artists. The first prize is £1,500 with two runner-up prizes of £500 each. THE DEADLINE FOR COMPETITION ENTRIES 30 SEPTEMBER 2026
