MFAA at The Art Yard

Cradley Heath Film have offered to be patrons for a new MFAA venue that will see The Art Yard on Reddal Hill Road, Cradley Heath refurbished with new galleries, studios and multi-media facilities, including a micro cinema. The Art Yard was under threat of closure following resident artists deciding to vacate the premises. Recognising the potential loss that this would mean to artists who would loose a much needed venue at which to exhibit their work, MFAA approached local filmmakers Cradley Heath Film who agreed to become patrons for The Art Yard and to provide the vital resources necessary to keep The Art Yard open.

MFAA are seeking sponsors that will contribute funds towards maintaining The Art Yard under a new management style and expand the facilities offered so that artists can access improved facilities to showcase their work.

Midland Film and Art

Midland Film and Art is a membership club where people can enjoy screenings of films or view artwork and crafts that would otherwise not be shown in mainstream cinemas or exhibitions, or be available locally. These shows usually have an educational aim, introducing new audiences to different audiovisual works through screening and display, encouraging participation in arts and crafts. A common feature that may characterize a Midland Film and Art meeting is that they either begin with an introduction to the audience and/or end with the promotion of a discussion about the film/art, where assistants, organizers and sometimes the filmmakers/artists themselves, exchange their views.
