PoArtry Laughter & Sadness

Wow! What a spectacular mixture of emotions were delivered by the PoArtry performers at The Art Yard community gallery on Tuesday, 29th August 2023.

Together the poets delivered an amazing collection of poems to a packed and appreciative audience. First up was Sue Deeming who despite having not performed publicly before led the way with a very confident presentation of her work entitled 'Malcolm the Mermaid' about a little boy who believed he was a mermaid inside. Sue was followed by Mike Alma with his take on the Spanish Amada called 'Waiting', a graphic account of the perils endured by the sailors and those on shore who patiently awaited their eventual downfall.
