"Time for TAY"

With six new volunteers presenting The Art Yard Program every 2 weeks on Black Country Radio Xtra.

Broadcasting of TAY's own arts program begins on Sunday, 20th June 2021 with a full line up of our 6 radio presenters introduced by MFAA's long standing volunteer Harry Bloomer. Harry will lead the informal introductions to the presentation team on a new Black Country Xtra show. This station will be the first truly community radio station nation-wide with over 140 volunteers and without news, weather or other commercial financing.

Time for TAY will offer a wide spectrum of information all aimed at promoting and recognition arts activities throughout our Black Country and beyond.

Midland Film and Art

Midland Film and Art is a membership club where people can enjoy screenings of films or view artwork and crafts that would otherwise not be shown in mainstream cinemas or exhibitions, or be available locally. These shows usually have an educational aim, introducing new audiences to different audiovisual works through screening and display, encouraging participation in arts and crafts. A common feature that may characterize a Midland Film and Art meeting is that they either begin with an introduction to the audience and/or end with the promotion of a discussion about the film/art, where assistants, organizers and sometimes the filmmakers/artists themselves, exchange their views.
